Twitter is currently testing a new ‘CoTweets’ feature that allows users to co-author tweets.

The social media platform has made the new feature available to select accounts in USA, Korea and Canada.

The platform has confirmed the feature and the fact that is being made to selected users for testing.

“We’re continuing to explore new ways for people to collaborate on Twitter,” a spokesperson for Twitter said.

“We’re testing CoTweets for a limited time to learn how people and brands may use this feature to grow and reach new audiences, and strengthen their collaborations with other accounts.”

How does is work?

Users who have access to CoTweets are seeing the feature appear in the tweet composer via a pop-up that invites them to “tweet together with CoTweets.”

Twitter notes that you can invite another account to share ownership of a tweet with you. If they accept, a CoTweet will be created showing both of you as co-authors.
